Green Arrow I did. Based off of an outfit I have as strange as that is. I have a carhartt vest that I usually wear with a hoody. Saw myself one day and thought hey that would work well for a modern not spandex costume for GA. So here it is.

Here is a Spider-Man watercolor wash. For Spidey being one of my all time favorite characters I'm not sure why I haven't done one sooner. Although that could be the reason too. Who knows, enjoy.

Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland, an opening to winter and the fun kids have in the snow. Kids always seem to enjoy the cold and snow even as most adults are grumbling about it. This is to all those kids (even the inner ones) who are to proud to come in, except for the nice cup of hot chocolate.

As you can probably tell this isn't a Hewie strip... or anything Hewie related. After few discussions with friends I decided I just need to draw and sketch more. So here is a recent sketch done while watching Walking Dead. If you haven't heard of it check it out, it's a good show based off of a great comic series by Robert Kirkman. So in the future I'm hoping to get more sketches on here, preferably Hewie ones but I'll probably random sketches also.

Hewie sees Calvin

So a friend sent me a link to this website where a bunch of versions of Calvin & Hobbes were done by various people. It made me realize how much that strip has influenced Hewie (even though I can honestly say I haven't read as many as I'd like to have). So here is a quick sketch homage to Calvin & Hobbes and of course the great Bill Watterson.

Hey everyone. By everyone I mean like the 5 or 6 people that actually look or read this post. Gotta love family. Any way, finally got my butt in gear and did a new Hewie strip. CON!! is kind of an inside joke, but the spelling should give it away as also playing to the convention that Hewie and his dad went to. Home Sweet Home is a phrase many people have heard. This week sometime my childhood home, and the home I've used for Hewie will be torn down. Everyone should have a place that when they hear the word "Home" they think of. No matter where I'm at in my life this house was and always will be "Home" to me.

If you haven't noticed most of the posts have been in the last week. This is me getting ready for the Fall Con hosted by the Midwest Comic Book Association here in St. Paul, MN. I have had the comics on a few other sites, but since I have printed up some stuff for the convention I thought it would be good to get a more permanent home for Hewie... until I can get my own site designed and up and running. So for those of you in the area, and even those who might not be, Fall Con this weekend at the state fair grounds. It's going to be huge, so check out the site and even come out and visit everyone. In the beginning....

Hey there everyone. Welcome to the new home for THE ADVENTUROUS HEWIE HUSTON. For those of you first seeing these or ever hearing about Hewie, here's some background. Hewie Huston the youngest of three, is always on the imaginative trail that is his childhood. He takes journeys into his imagination and creates the excitement that keeps him occupied. When not in his imagination he can be found tormenting his older sisters, Rene (the oldest) and Irene (the middle child).

Hewie Huston is essentially my inner child... well to be more precise... Hewie is me. This strip is based off my childhood which means some stories are true for the most part (Superhero Blunder). So I leave you to the comics... here is, THE ADVENTUROUS HEWIE HUSTON.
